A update of sorts

This past weekend and week has not been so good to our family. Last week my niece got  sick, since Tuesday running a fever and she's had one ever since. She has had a ear infection for over a month that will just not go away, and last week when these fevers started she was back to the doctor put on a another antibiotic hoping that would help. Well it didn't she was running a fever into the weekend it had been as high as 104 and she developed sore's on her lips and in her mouth. So it was back to the doctor again on Saturday, she ended up with hand foot and mouth disease and the doctor swabbed her ear for culture, so she was sent home again. Now onto Sunday still fever, miserable, not eating and after not getting her to be able to drink any fluids all day my sister took her to the ER with fear of dehydration. So she had lost over 2 lbs from Sat. to Sunday and was given a IV for her dehydration and after a hour of fluids she was allowed to be sent home.


On Monday the results were in on her ear culture and she has a very rare infection so she is seeing a specialist today for that and was ordered to come back in for blood work to make sure this infection hasn't went anywhere else in her body. Let me tell you waiting for those results was more than nerve wrecking for our family, Thankfully last night the results came in and the infection hadn't spread anywhere else!

Praise God, our prayer were sure heard! So last night I had picked up some pediasure, some parfait's from mcdonalds and a little surprise and headed over to my sister's for a visit. I'm so glad I could make that little girl smile, poor thing is so hungry  but she just can't eat because of her mouth. She did drink some of the pediasure and take a couple of bites of the parfait. My sister and I weighed her and poor thing has lost 7 lbs since Sunday! She's only 22 lbs right now! Breaks my heart! But we're hoping things are going to get better and she is able to eat very soon ! So if you would please keep her in your prayers!

This week my Uncle is back at the St. James Cancer Center in Columbus for another round of treatment.There has been a couple of bumps in the road but so far so good vitals are staying good and spirits are up. As of this morning we are at 6 out of the 12 doses , hoping to get all 12! These are always tough weeks as all we do is worry and pray and pray from him! But he is strong and we know he can do it!So again if you could say another little prayer for him we would really appreciate it.

Happy Wednesday, we're almost there 2 more days and the weekend will be here! Seriously it can't come soon enough!
