All sorts of updates

Sorry once again for the lack in posting, we've been busy, around the house ,with work ,the girls , appointments etc. so here goes catching you all up I will start with today's great news first.

- we had a early start to the day this morning we left for Cleveland around 4:30 for all of today's appointments. 7:30 lab,9:00 ct prep, 10:00 ct scan , 11:00 appointment with the doctor and 12:00 treatment. So we had a very busy morning now to the good stuff.

Jeramey's scan showed more loss another 5% down! So we have about 10% left to kick:) the doctor is pleased with the results and we are on track to keep the treatments going, so today he had treatment 5 of this round. We will scan again after a few more rounds in probably about 2 months or so. Very happy with another great report and so so thankful!

- with having to leave so early the girls got to spend the night at my sisters which they were so excited about!

- yesterday we headed to Detroit to the red wings game with some family and friends in a amazing suite! We had a absolute blast, it was so much fun we will defiantly go to a game again!

- jaylee lost her second tooth last weekend! So she is without both bottom teeth in the front, she looks so cute!

-she also got her second stripe on her belt last Tuesday at karate, she continues to love it and is actually getting pretty good!

- lex is still loving story hour and asks about every day if she can go she thinks she is pretty cool that she gets to go to story hour like sissy does:)

- Jeramey has taken on a new project at home he is making all new wood counter tops for the kitchen , we have one section all the way complete that is stained and has the clear coat on and it looks amazing! I can't wait for the rest to be done, after that he is tiling the back splash so we will get pictures up as soon as it is complete!

- I am currently training for a 5k run in June this is week 3 and I'm waiting for it to get easier soon:) it will be worth it just not very much fun right now!

So that's about it, I think I have pretty much caught you up with our crazy life:)

and another very exciting thing to add....my baby sister got engaged last Friday!! So we will have yet another wedding coming up to celebrate!! Congrats Jerri & Ryan we love you both so much!!

It's been a while

Okay so we play catch up again, I've been so bad at this lately! I will start with where we left off...

Our driveway is all ready for the new concrete, Jeramey and our friends and family have worked so hard despite all the rain that set us back and all the old concrete is out the new sewer and storm is in and now we are just waiting for the concrete guys to come. So our part is done , we were hoping to have everything done but the rain put everyone back about a week so we are crossing our fingers that we will be forming and pouring end of this week or early next week. I CAN'T wait to be done with this mess!

Last week we had our usual busy week of story time, karate, story hour and work. Tuesday Jeramey made his usual trip to Cleveland for treatment number 9 but after his labs came back the doctor wanted to skip this treatment as his platelet counts were low. Which was disappointing for us but the doctor said it will be good to skip this one pushing it back will help all the counts get back up. That way he can sail through these last 4 treatments a lot easier. So this coming Tuesday we will be going for treatment number 9 after that 3 more to go!

So from skipping this treatment I along with everyone else can see how good it did, Jeramey feels great like his old self he has been able to work without getting tired out from the chemo. Which he cant wait to be done with all together, he's way to busy to not be able to go go go:) So we took advantage of the skipped treatment fully. 

Friday Jeramey took Jay and our friends little girl bowling for the afternoon and from what I understand they had a blast and can't wait to go again!

We had lunch, shopped, and just enjoyed our alone time together, that doesn't happen very often! It was a pretty successful trip I got some birthday presents for Lex, the girls halloween costumes and even a couple of Christmas gifts bought! When I got home Jeramey had dropped the girls off to my Dad as he was going to a hunting banquet with some of his friends for the night. So Saturday was good we both got some much needed time for ourselves. 

Now onto this week, we've had beautiful weather and we have been taking full advantage!

 This weather is supposed to stay this way for at least a week so I'm sure we will be out trying to soak it all up while we can!

Tonight is Story hour for Jaylee, then tomorrow we are headed to a Japanese steak house for dinner to celebrate one of my best friends birthday. Jeramey and i have both neither been to one so we are excited about that. Other than that we have no plans so it should be a nice relaxing weekend:)

In some other very exciting news I will be getting a brother!!! My sister Haley is engaged! We are all so excited. The date is set for 12-22-2012 and I can't wait!

Wow what a weekend! Beautiful weather, lots of family time and a lot of fun. Just what we needed to get ready for this week. Friday Jeramey and I went out for dinner and a movie with my sister and her boyfriend. We went and watched the hangover 2 which was a great choice it was hilarious, I don't remember the last time I laughed that hard!

Saturday we ventured out to Jeramey's parents for the day for a cookout with the family and some fun riding the four wheelers and target shooting. The girls had a blast on the four wheelers they didn't want to stop riding:)

Then yesterday we took family pictures in the morning and then we spent the afternoon outside playing with the girls. Jaylee got a couple of lessons of golf which she says now she's ready to go to the big course:)she also practiced t-ball to get ready for tonight. She has her first tball game at 6:30! So be sure to watch out for some pictures tomorrow.

These are from last week I just didn't have a chance to post them but look who's right back to loving the water like last year and wearing a bathing suit!

We have a appointment at 7:45 am tomorrow morning in Cleveland for the second round of chemo. It will be a long day but we're ready. Same as the first round he will go for a couple hours of treatment there at CC then he will be hooked up to the pump to complete the rest of the 2 day drip at home then back on Thursday to get unhooked. We are praying for a easy round with little to no side effects, so your continued prayers would be very much appreciated.

My sister Makenzie is off to another summer of spreading god's word in India. She will be there until the beginning of august so even while we know great things will be done through her we will miss he like crazy again this summer. Thank god for skype and wireless Internet over there at least we can see her that way:)

Okay enough of the rambling updates from me, have a wonderful week and I will try to get some more updates up I'm a little behind on things so look for a updated house tour along with a few other little updates through out the week.

Update

 My sister Makenzie  is  out of surgery and in recovery, the surgery went well but was more complicated than expected as it was worse than what they had anticipated.But it was successful,  so we are all breathing a sigh of relief tonight. She is in a lot of pain so they are trying to get that under control and make her as comfortable as possible so she can get some sleep. Thank you for all of your prayers and please continue to pray for her and that she has a fast and easy recovery. Thanks again!

Sister Update

Today my sister Makenzie is having surgury for the condition she was recently diagnoised with which is called Chiari which I explained Here. During this surgery they will be  removing parts of her vertebre, and then will proceed  through the brain membrane and cauterize the brain tissue, relieving pressure, and then will be installing a titanium plate into that area to create more space for her brain, brain stem and other very important things, all through a  4 in incision. The surgery is for 8:30 this morning and is expected to last around 4 hours. So please say a extra prayer for her, and the doctor's and nurse's caring for her this morning, and in the days ahead as she recovers. Our family really appreciates all the concern and prayers.


I will try and  update later on today  on how everything went. Thanks again for your support!

Random Friday!

Ya'll are going to get a little bit of everything today! A Recipe, Room Rearranging, A Report on my sister & More Free Cards! So are you all ready? Here we go;)


This recipe is one I have wanted to try for ever and finally did the other night, and I'm so glad I did! If you like the shells of taco bells chalupas you will love this! Although probably not that good for you considering they are deep fried but it was so worth it!

Navajo Tacos

12 Rhodes Texas™ Rolls, thawed & risen (the equivalent of 18 regular Rhodes dinner rolls)

vegetable oil for frying-I used our deep fryer

1/2 pound ground beef

4 green onions, finely chopped

1/2 cup picante sauce or salsa

1 clove garlic, minced

2 cups canned pinto beans-I used refried beans

 cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded lettuce

2 medium tomatoes, chopped

1 medium onion, chopped

sour cream, if desired

Flatten each roll to a 6-inch circle. Fry in vegetable oil at 375°F until golden brown, turning over once (about 30 seconds). Drain on paper towels. 

Fry ground beef, drain off fat. Add onion and fry until onions are clear.

Add salsa, minced garlic and beans; heat through. Do not over cook.

Spoon desired amount over warm fried dough. Top with grated cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and green onion. If desired, add more salsa and sour cream.

ENJOY!

Room rearranging, of course you knew that was coming soon right? I haven't moved it around in a while so it was time. And with Christmas decorating on the list the next week or two I needed to free up the front window where the tree will go. So this is the arrangement we have now, all ready for the tree;)

I also moved all the toys into the room we made into a playroom for the girls, we had some in there and some out in the living room so it just made more sense to have all the toys in one room. The girls are loving it! And so am I, less mess for me to clean up!

My sister Makenzie had her first appointment with a neurosurgeon yesterday. They said that she will defiantly need to have surgery so that has tentatively been scheduled for Monday November 29th. So if you would continue to keep her in your prayers that would be greatly appreciated.

Pj day

Some times it's just fun to stay in your pj's all day long;) That's what we did on Sunday while we had our productive day of cleaning. We woke up in the morning ate breakfast changed out of our pj's from the night before and changed right into new ones and wore them all day long! Jeramey was hunting all day so I thought it would be something fun since we had no where to go and nothing to do. I love days like that! The girls thought it was pretty cool that they were allowed to wear pj's all day. I think that needs to be mandatory for at least one of the days of the weekend, wishful thinking I guess because it is rare when we can actually be home all day with no plans or no where to go, but the days that does actually happen I am making them into all day pj day!

* Thank You Thank You Thank You for all your prayers and concern with my sister. She has her appt. today, as her Mom was able to get her a earlier appt. So she will be going to Cleveland Clinic today and again for a second opinion the day before Thanksgiving. So please keep her in your prayers. Thanks;)
