Someone was pretty pumped about karate tonight!

 While Daddy & Sis where at their class tonight Lex & I got to hang out with my cute little niece and my sister

 Daddy got his gue tonight, and when they came home Jay had to show off the new moves they learned!

 I had made these water bottles yesterday, Jaylee needed one to take to karate and I had extra so I made a couple more:) I have a few more things I've been working on and i'll try to get those up sometime this week. I've been in a major blog funk lately if you haven't noticed:) Sorry!

Reindeer Food & Reindeer cookies

Yesterday the girls and I made Reindeer food, this is the second year we have done this and they love it! The idea is to make food for the reindeer so that on Christmas Eve we go outside sprinkle it on the lawn the moon will make it sparkle and guide the reindeer to our house. Jaylee had so much fun doing that last year. So yesterday afternoon I gathered all the ingredients made the tags and we were crafting:) I did this with my babysitting kids also, they seemed to enjoy it too! After making the reindeer food Jaylee and I made the reindeer cookies my Mom bought her the other night, so Lex napped, Mommy and Jay baked and ate a few more cookies than we should have, they were really good!  We had to save some for Daddy and Lex so we had to stop eating them:) They were small cookies in our defense! Here are the ingredients and the poem for reindeer food and some pictures of course!

Reindeer Food

-oats

-sugar

-red and green sugar for cookie decorating

Add all ingredients to a bag or container and mix together

Attach tag and wait for Christmas Eve to sprinkle on the lawn!

A Christmas Craft & My First Giveaway!

I made this yesterday and it's being displayed very cutely in my kitchen. The girls can't wait to set this out on Christmas Eve! The set is complete with a plate for Santa's cookie's, a mug for Santa's milk and a bowl for reindeer treats. Getting back in the groove

I think now that it's finally getting colder out and I have a little more time inside that I've got my crafting itch back. And it's probably a good thing since I have a very long list of things to make with the holidays coming up:) I love doing things like this, it's just something fun from me to do that I really enjoy. So stay tuned for more creations;)

This is the one I made for the bathroom, we really needed some sort of night light in the bathroom, so I came across this saying and thought it was really cute

This is my favorite/most useful thing I've made lately. "The thinking spot" it's been working out really well so far. Now instead of sitting Jaylee in time out she gets sat here on the "thinking spot" for her time and she has to think about why she is sitting there and before she is aloud to get up she has to explain to us why it is that she had to sit there.

Rainy Day Craft

The past two day have been so rainy and cold so I had a chance to do a couple of crafts that I wanted to do. Jaylee's Birthday is fast approaching so I knew I wanted to make some of the crafts from my list in time for that! So I made a birthday countdown so she can count down the days until her birthday along with a happy birthday sign that we will have to use for a decoration for everyone's birthday. I think they both turned out really cute:)

I have one more project that I am working on for beside my Dad's picture so check back later, i'm hoping to have it done later this morning. Have a great FRIDAY!!

How to place an order

I have had several inquiries about the lights I posted this morning and realized that I didn't put any info on how to order!

If you wish to place an order please include the color of the back round you want along with the saying you want on the light. The saying is made with vinyl and as of right now I have Black, Brown or Pink but if you are looking for another color let me know and I can see what I can do.

The lights are 25.00 and that includes the glass light, the black stand and the night light with a on/off switch on the cord.

Lights

Here are a couple of lights I have made over the past couple of days I love the way they look I have the one in our living room and it gives off a really soft glow it's really pretty/ The other one is in the girls room and there is just the right light to use it as a night light. I am going to be making more of these so if anyone is interested let me know:)

Okay so I finally finished that big project that I was talking about, and let me tell you it was big! But it's done and I am so glad I did it. I saw these on Etsy and really wanted one for the girls the only thing was the size I wanted is 250.00 with 15.00 shipping not including the frame which you buy the parts for and build yourself that costs another 30.00 so all together it would cost about 290.00!! CRAZY! So I decided to make my own and I am just under 65.00 total for making my own including the frame! It was very time consuming and obviously thats why they sell them for so much, but I am so glad that I did this for the girls they love it! So here it is....

Jaylee & Alexis' Playhouse!!

The front of the house the mail box opens so they can even get mail!! I still have to have Jeramey shorten the pipe on the frame so the door stays closed.

The one side of their house, the apples have velcro so they can pick the apples from the tree

This is the other side of the house the dog and cat both have velcro so they can be moved around as well as the watering can so the flowers can be watered

This is the back, the garden, the corn carrots & lettuce all have velcro so they can be picked

I made them their own bags to use for picking the veggies or delivering the mail and the envelopes really open and have a little note inside:)

This is the inside of the house, there is so much room in there I know the girls will get so much use out of this.

I really am so pleased with the outcome of this, it was a fun project and I could have gone on forever! I am going to wait a couple of weeks and then start all over again because this is what I am doing for my 2 year old niece for her birthday:)

Mirror Makeover

I am so glad I didn't throw out this mirror it has been sitting in our garage forever and I almost got rid of it a couple of times. I love how it turned out!

Just A Couple of Things I've made

The plate I made for my new plate stand in the kitchen

No more boring candle here, I love the way this turned out! It was just a plain cream candle before.

I made 2 of these for our bedroom one for each side of the bed.

Lexer's" Lovie Blankie"

I just finished this project I've been working on and I had to put it up Lex loves it! What baby wouldn't Jaylee has a little taggie blanket from when she was little so I wanted to make Lex one instead of paying the 22.00 ridiculous dollars that I paid for Jaylee's! But this one I made has a special feature, it's crinkly she loves to play with anything that makes that crinkly noise, so i stuffed it with crinkle paper. The things that amuse kids!

Feeling Crafty

So I've always loved to do craft things and I have so many ideas that I want to do, so Jeramey & I talked this weekend and I told him some of these ideas and he said go for it! It is just something I enjoy, so within the next month or so we are going to work on these things. Kind of a husband and wife venture as I will need his help with the construction part of some projects so make sure to stay tuned and check out some of these projects:) This past weekend I made one thing that I've wanted to do for a while for the girls' room. We are going to be redoing their room here in the next couple of weeks so I decided to do the one project I could do now. I have seen these kits for around $20-30 and I figured out how to do them myself for $1.00 a piece so I am thrilled, mind you they were my first attempt so they don't look the greatest but I know what I am going to do different when I do them this weekend. I think they are going to look really cute in their room hanging from the ceiling, my sister is already trying to con me into making some for my niece's room. They are fun to make but really time consuming. So here's the picture of my first set of pretty pom's.
