Weekend Round Up

Sorry 'm a little late updating but we had a busy couple of days followed by a great weekend so you"ll have to forgive me :) Jeramey had his first round of chemo on Thursday, they started it at 9 that morning and he was given some of the treatment there at CC then was able to come home with a pump around 1 that afternoon to finish the two day drip. Day one went well he felt the first side effect from it, which was sensitivity to cold on his hands. If he would hold something cold his fingers would feel tingly, but that only lasted the first day. Day two , Friday started off good he went out mowed the lawn and did a couple other things outside. Things changed around late afternoon, he started to feel achy and his face felt hot to him. So we had kind of a rough evening and night Friday. Saturday morning was when the pump was scheduled to be unhooked and he was so ready to get that thing off! While getting ready he had sprayed on cologne and instantly felt nauseous from the smell, the price you pay to smell good right:) he has been a lot more sensitive to smells but only felt sick from it that one time so hopefully it stays that way. After getting the pump unhooked Saturday morning and after a good long nap to catch up on all the missed sleep the night before we where able to enjoy the rest of the weekend with family out by the pool. Jaylee is swimming without her life jacket like crazy, she's so proud of herself! Lex is still insisting on taking her bathing suit off and running around naked but at least she got in the pool a couple of times this weekend, after last weekend of her being scared to get in for some reason we are making progress. Last year she was swimming all over by herself with her floaties jumping in and everything so hopefully we get back to that real soon! We also planted a garden full of lots of veggies, I'm so excited for them to start growing! We ended the day yesterday with some yummy steak kabobs on the grill, the girls even loved them with ranch of course everything is being dipped in ranch here lately with them! We hope you all had a wonderful weekend as well! I have to call the doctor this morning to update him on the side effects Jeramey had from this round and make appointments for the next round in two weeks so I will update with the dates as I get them. Just keep on saying those prayers!
