Our weekends around here mostly consist of the pool, floating, swimming and just plain having fun together. This past weekend the girls were bored so with a couple of ping pong balls and lots of cups they played their made up game of pool pong for hours! Jaylee's pretty good, I think we may have to keep her away from the goldfish game at the fair:) we would end up with a lot of goldfish!

Love her!!
Our pretty little girl

Most long days in the pool end up like this... some serious lounging on the couch
This past Saturday Jeramey and I had a wedding to attend my cousin Allie got married. So we spent the evening kid free at a beautiful wedding. Congrats Allie & Ryan!
We have another wedding this weekend along with the bullthistle parade that Jaylee's in for school so we have a pretty busy weekend ahead. Sadly being August already summer is almost over and I can't believe it. So we are going to do our best to soak up every last bit of it!

Just have to share this, and it wont be the last of recipes to come. I have found so many new yummy recipes on my new addiction pinterest I cant wait to try them all! But last week we tried this one and it was delicious! So here's the recipe if you want to try it out:)

Creamy Caprese Pasta
serves 4-6
1 pound whole wheat pasta (noodles such as penne work best)
1 cup of your favorite pasta/tomato sauce
1/3 cup heavy cream or half and half
1/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese + more for garnish
4 ounces fresh mozzarella, cut into cubes
1 pint of grape tomatoes (I cut some in half and left some whole)
1 bunch of fresh basil leaves
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Boil water and cook pasta according to directions.
While pasta is cooking, heat tomato sauce over low heat in a large saucepan. Once warm, stir in heavy cream and grated parmesan. Once pasta is done cooking, drain and dump into the sauce, mixing to coat and turning off heat. Fold in mozzarella cubes and tomatoes, then chop 3-4 fresh basil leaves and add them in too. Once combined, spray a baking dish with non-stick spray and pour the entire pasta mixture into the dish. Top with fresh mozzarella rounds. Bake for 25 minutes, or until cheese is golden and bubbly.
